Mandy Moore Enjoys the Music of Lucinda Williams

Enjoying Mandy Moore's Twitter-feed recently, we were pleased to discover another musical gem in Mandy's "Song of the Day" featuring Lucinda William's acclaimed hit, "Jackson."

Recorded for the 1998 album, "Car Wheels on a Gravel Road," "Jackson" is one of many acclaimed hits by the 56 year old Williams. An accomplished alt-country artist, her prolific career can be traced back three decades with such albums as "Happy Woman Blues," "Sweet Old World," and "West."  

Williams is perhaps best known, however, for her hit single, "Passionate Kisses," off ""Car Wheels On A Gravel Road." Winning the 1994 Grammy for Best Country Song, the popular track was later covered by Mary Chapin Carpenter.

Named "America's Best Songwriter" by Time Magazine in 2002, Williams latest release came in 2008 with her tenth studio album entitled "Little Honey."
