Back in September, we featured Mandy Moore as she offered thoughts about the upcoming release of DIsney's Rapunzel. Not long ago, we discovered an in-depth interview with co-star Zachary Levi in which he touched on his starring role alongside Mandy Moore.
Star of the hit show "Chuck" on NBC, Levi was recently named one of Entertainment Weekly's Top Thirty People Under 30. Sitting down with Collider.com," he offered thoughts on a comical audition experience. "My character is a bandit, named Flynn Ryder. It's funny, because when I auditioned for the part, he was supposed to be British. And then, they decided 'No, we're not going to make him British. We're just going to do your voice.' And I was like, "But I don't want to do that!"
As far as the potential success of the film, Levi expressed an infectious enthusiasm. "John Lasseter (CEO of Pixar and Disney Animation Studios) is one of the most genius guys on the planet. He has done no wrong at Pixar, and it's because he knows how to make amazing movies. They have heart, relationships, story, and characters, and they're not gimmick-driven. I have ever confidence that [Rapunzel] will be an amazing film, and I'm just super excited to be a part of it."
