It should be assumed that any friend of rocker Ryan Adams would have to bear a certain sort of moxie. Take fellow musician, Jesse Malin. Dubbed by Paste Magazine as a "rough, whiskey-bar-slaying solo artist," Malin earned popular acclaim for his work with East Coast supergroup, D Generation.
A fan of the artist in his glam-punk days, Ryan Adams gave Malin's career a new direction as the acclaimed rocker agreed to produce his debut album. A first for the multi-talented Ryan, "The Fine Art of Self Destruction," ultimately yielded Malin's first major success as the British press hailed the debut as one of the year's finest.
Many songs and many tours later, we couldn't be happier to discover 42 year old Jesse Malin's latest work. Coming full circle, Malin works with Ryan Adams and his beloved, songstress Mandy Moore on his latest album, "Love it to Life." Recorded with Malin's new band, The St. Marks Social, the new album is all "ragged, guitar sing-alongs a'la The Hold Steady or Ryan Adams's "Rock N Roll," states Paste Magazine in a recent article.
As for Mandy Moore? Mandy "sang some nice, sweet harmonies on a few songs," says Malin.
Don't wait to check out this incredible album!
